Substitute for Hampton Bay FAN28R HD5 KIT Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit [RR7079TKIT]

Perfect replacement electronics (remote and receiver) for my old Hampton Bay "Midili" fan. It took me all of 10 minutes to swap it in.

I just moved into a studio condo that I bought. My original problem was with the ceiling fan; the lights and remote did not work. The fan worked fine with the wall switch. I tried putting new light bulbs in the original lamp/fan unit and the fan worked but not the lights still did not. I put a "new" battery from a local hardware store in a replacement remote unit and it still did not work. I ordered a new receiver and it came with yet another remote. My friend tested the battery I put in the remote and it turned out that the battery I bought from the store was nearly dead! So I bought another new battery from a different store and we tested it and the remote, fan and lights all worked fine. So I now have no need for the RR7079TKIT (RR7079T/UC7067FMRX) Universal 3-Speed Ceiling Fan Kit, or the replacement remote I also bought before that.
