The Anderic RRU401 is a substitute for the GE 37038 remote. It is a 4-device universal remote (such as TVs, streaming players, DVD/Blu-ray players and soundbars) with a backlit keypad, learning and macros.

Good to Know

Check how many devices your old remote controls. This remote controls up to 4.
It is not pre-set. You program it with a brand code, a code search or learning before it controls your equipment.
Key names and layout may differ from the original.
Not compatible with Roku Streaming Sticks, Roku TVs without an IR receiver, Amazon Fire TV Stick or Dish Hopper 3. On other Roku devices the number keys do not work.

Setup / Pairing

Turn on the device you want to control.
Press and hold its mode key (for example TV) for about 3 seconds until the mode light stays on, then release.
Enter the 4-digit code for your brand. The mode light turns off if the code is valid; three quick blinks means it is not.
Test the keys. If most do not work, repeat with another code for the same brand or use the auto code search.

Troubleshooting

If all the mode keys blink together when you press a button and the remote does not respond, the batteries are weak; replace them.
For a DirecTV box, set the box to IR mode first (Menu > Settings & Help > Settings > Remote Control).
To start over, reset the remote: hold any mode key until its light stays on, then enter 9 9 9 9.
