This is a replacement kit that will only work to replace your existing kit. You must have a receiver in the canopy and a reverse module in the lighting area.

If your fan has a physical switch on the motor to "reverse" the fan direction, then this kit will NOT work for you. If you are simply trying to add remote control functionality to your fan, you must purchase the "Universal Ceiling Fan Kit."

The receiver is installed in the base of the fan where it meets the ceiling. The Reverse module is installed in the light housing portion of the fan at the bottom. Altura first to second model was slow like giant tortoise caused by a voltage level, light kit is set to dim and on, the chain for the light is weak, caused by a newer Altura AC,

Anderic shipping was amazingly fast. Definitely will buy again.

Almost gave five stars

Almost gave five stars. The instructions say to install AA cells, but they won't fit. It takes AAA cells. The button I use the most is very near to another button that doesn't stop the playback but sends me back to wherever the tuner is tuned. This is very confusing. The On/Off interact with my Samsung TV even though I have entered no codes. The button payout is pretty scrambled from the original, and I find myself having to turn on the lights and get out my eyeglasses and squint to find the right button. But, it works, every time, without having the squeeze the coin cells and press hard.
