Simple but works well

I screwed the looped end to the middle underside of our headboard and used Velcro for the remote. Even if it falls between the crack of the mattress and headboard, I know exactly where it is. Simple design but it works.

I used this as something other than what it was designed for, I'm sure, but it's been great! I used this so I could attach my TV remote to the ceiling, out of the way when I want it to be, yet only an arms length away when I need it! It's very solidly made, springy in the coil yet tough and doesn't appear to be easily breakable. It was a little strange connecting the end to the remote, but I'm sure for the standard usage of this item it probably works just fine.

Uses a metal loop to teather to the item you want to secure

The design is great if you know what you are planning to attach. This is model number CBL01. This secures on one end with double-sided velcro, which is very strong and secure. The other end of the coiled cable has a metal loop that you would use a screw to secure to an item you do not want to lose. The cord is short and doesn't get in the way. But it can stretch pretty far, so the size is very useful and keeps your items accessible. So it protects you from losing your item or having someone walk away with it. Easy to use, but if you are trying to attach it to an item that does not have a screw you can fasten it to it is a challenge. You could reverse it and use the metal loop to screw it to a stable surface and the velcro end to the item you are trying to secure, OR I found out that this manufacturer has a similar item CBL02, that has velcro on both ends for the same price. I think the item is a good value, just make sure you pay attention to what you want to attach so you don't need to worry about returns.
