How to confirm the fit

Find the FCC ID on the back of your old remote or inside its battery compartment. It should match 2AN5T-99122. If your remote shows a different FCC ID, this remote will not work with your fan's receiver.

Good to Know

Works only with the Hunter receiver already in your fan; a receiver is not included.
If you use it with several fans, pair it with each fan in turn.
Only one remote can be paired per fan.

Setup / Pairing

If your fan has pull chains, use the pull chain (with the power on) to set the fan to HIGH first. Most fans that use this remote have no pull chains.
Turn the power to the fan off at the wall switch or circuit breaker. Then turn it back on; this resets the fan receiver.
Within 3 minutes of restoring power, press and hold Fan Off (0) and High (3) together for 5 seconds.
The fan turns on at low speed to show it has synced with the remote.
If it does not respond, make sure the power is on at the breaker and wall switch, then repeat the power cycle and step 3. If the light seems not to work, turn it on with the light key and hold the key until the bulb is fully bright.

Troubleshooting

Fan will not start: check that power is on at the breaker and wall switch, the battery is good, the remote and receiver are paired, and the receiver wiring in the canopy is secure.
Erratic or short range: check that the battery is installed correctly, or install a fresh battery.
Lights do not dim: change the battery and check for CFL or non-dimmable LED bulbs; the control turns off dimming when it detects them. Incandescent bulbs dim best.
