So it seems Anderic sells off-brand replacements in this regard. At least for this particular remote. This is evidenced by the fact that once paired to the TV there is a bug that persistently attempts to update the software of the remote. The problem is it will always fail because it's not an actual OEM Sony. And so now I'm left with an ever-present prompt every time I turn on my TV telling me to update the software on the remote that will always fail when acted on.
