I agree with the previous rating! I have also been listening to my box continuously since 1987. It works well, has never stopped working & sounds just as good. I hope it stays with me for my entire lifetime. I also listen to it everyday.

I bought the RX-DT55 'boom box' from The Wiz over 22 years ago, and I use this thing almost daily, and it is still going strong. When I went to The Wiz, I remember I wanted a portable cd player that I could take to the beach. I saw the RXDT55 and liked it, but it cost around $375, which is way more than I wanted to spend, especially back in 1987, that was a lot of money for me. But it looked like a quality product, so I went for it. 22 years, best thing I ever bought! I'm listening to it now!
