I needed a remote kit replacement for my 2004 era Hunter Grand Lodge ceiling fan/light and this remote receiver worked flawlessly. It came with a 9 pin port which fit the connector on the fan, no adapter needed. I had it up and running in 10 minutes. I used wire nuts on the light socket wires.
